Carl Zeiss offers the Axio Imager, a modular microscope platform for fluorescence microscopy that guarantees image quality and maximum contrast while ensuring optimum transmission and working distance. The darkfield from 2.5x to 100x oil (ultra-darkfield) can be combined with brightfield in one condenser. Color correction is guaranteed over the entire wavelength range with the apochromatic fluorescence beam path.
     The imager includes a self-aligning HBO lamp for homogeneous illumination and LCI plan-neofluar objectives for live cell imaging. Internal and external communication may occur via USB and TCP/IP. Defined interfaces allow for the coupling of additional components, such as light sources and detectors. The platform also includes matched system components, a precise XY scanning stage with exact positioning motorized z-focus, and faster image acquisition.
