The clinical information module for the latest version of the WindoPath™ anatomic pathology information system complements new interfacing capabilities in WindoPath Version 6.0. The system enables the pathology laboratory to pull clinical results directly from instruments such as chemistry analyzers or those used for flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular diagnostics.
     WindoPath’s clinical information module provides the pathologist with a complete picture of the patient’s condition by yielding clinical results relevant to the anatomic pathology case. The module allows the pathologist to view all the clinical results associated with a particular patient from any LIS, then simply pull the appropriate data into the final report. The lab also can preselect clinical results to be automatically added to a designated section of the report. Access to the patient’s clinical test results while reviewing the pathology specimen gives the pathologist a holistic view of the patient’s condition. A more refined diagnosis helps the physician determine a more accurate prognosis and the best treatment course.
