Watson-Marlow Bredel offers its 520 NEMA 4X, a line of peristaltic pumps that perform under harsh processing conditions. The 520 is ideal for fermentation, biotech, and pharmaceutical processing applications; and it is designed for accurate metering, dosing, and transferring of corrosive or sensitive fluids. The pumps also provide low-shear, contamination-free pumping and predictable pump service intervals extending validation periods.
The 520 pumphead features a large swept volume with low-friction stainless steel rollers for greater accuracy. The pumphead has a large-diameter track and a low rotational speed that increases tube life. The head accepts eight different tubing materials and sizes up to 9.6 mm for flow rates ranging from 4 mL per minute up to 3.5 L per minute at 30 psi. The 520 has added controllability from 0.1 rpm to 220 rpm with speed accuracy to 0.1%. It is available in three models: the 520SN, which provides manual control; the 520UN, which provides digital control; and the 520DuN, which operates with manual, auto-analog, and remote controls.
