Shandon EZ Cytofunnels® from Thermo Electron Corp are single-use sample chambers to be used in conjunction with the Shandon Cytospin® for thin-layer cell preparations. The Shandon EZ Cytofunnel eliminates the need for metal Cytoclips®, enhancing laboratory workflow efficiency.
    The Cytofunnel is intended for single use on the Shandon Cytospin cytocentrifuge. The EZ Single Cytofunnel that utilizes a white filter card is intended for the preparation of sample volumes as high as 0.5 mL, while the EZ Single Cytofunnel that uses a brown filter card is for sample volumes as high as 0.4 mL. The leak-proof, disposable EZ Cytofunnels come complete with caps to minimize user exposure to pathogens and to reduce the risk of specimen cross-contamination.
