Abbott Diagnostics recently expanded the tumor marker menu for its ARCHITECT® family of analyzers with tests for breast, ovarian, and prostate cancer. The tests, which include ARCHITECT CA 15-3®, ARCHITECT CA 125 II™, ARCHITECT Free PSA, and ARCHITECT Total PSA, provide laboratories with precision and consistent clinical performance.
     Additionally, Abbott’s genomic tests include Vysis® UroVysion for bladder cancer, as well as PathVysion® for detecting amplification of the HER-2 gene to help determine whether a patient is an appropriate candidate for Herceptin® (trastuzumab) therapy for breast cancer.
