The ImmPRESS™ universal peroxidase polymer reagent from Vector Laboratories Inc contains a micropolymer of active peroxidase coupled with a mixture of affinity-purified, anti-mouse IgG and anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibodies. The ImmPRESS reagent avoids the use of large dextrans, or other macromolecules as a backbone. Attaching micropolymers to an antibody allows a higher density of enzymes to access a target with minimal interference, resulting in a reduction in the number of steps in the protocol, an increase in signal intensity, and less background staining.
