Calibration-Verification Assessment

For hematology analyzers

Streck has extended the reportable ranges for white blood cell (WBC) and platelet parameters to allow verification of the extreme upper and lower limits of hematology analyzers. Calibration-verification assessment (CVA) is the company’s calibration assessment and hematology linearity kit with appropriate WBC, red blood cell/hemoglobin (RBC/Hgb), and platelet concentrations for calibration of three-part and five-part hematology instruments. CVA tests the extreme upper and lower limits of an instrument’s reportable range. This assures the user that abnormal patient results are valid. Instrument-specific assay values are provided for WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, and platelet parameters for immediate instrument-calibration verification. No lengthy calculations are required to obtain expected values.
