Reichert Inc Analytical Instruments has introduced the TS Meter-D Digital Handheld Refractometer for clinical laboratory use. The device offers direct reading of urine-specific gravity, cupric sulfate-specific gravity, serum or plasma protein concentration, brix, and refractive index (nD), all of which are temperature corrected. It is the first digital handheld refractometer that performs as well as most laboratory-grade refractometers, and it is designed to automatically read samples with precision comparable to high-end refractometers. It also features a scratch-resistant glass sample measurement surface; simple, three-button operation; and an accuracy rate of ±0.0001 Refractive Index.
