QuickThaw™ Plasma Thawing Systems from HELMER offer quick and safe thawing of random and apheresis FFP. The QuickThaw agitates the FFP in baskets that are submerged in the tank, then automatically lifts the baskets out of the water at the end of each cycle when either a high-temperature alarm is activated or on customer demand. The basket assemblies operate independently allowing different batch start times, providing more efficient use of FFP. The QuickThaw includes a polished stainless-steel tank and baskets, a programmable temperature controller, independent controls and LED time display for each basket, and an easy-to-read control panel that provides touch-button start/stop. Two models are currently available: the DH4, which accommodates up to four units of FFP, and the DH8, which can accommodate up to eight units.
