The AtheNA Multi-Lyte EBV Test System from Wampole Laboratories is intended for the quantitative detection of IgG class antibody to Epstein-Barr Virus Viral Capsid Antigen (EBV-VCA), Epstein-Barr Virus Nuclear Antigen (EBNA), and Epstein-Barr Virus Early Antigen (EBV-EA) in human serum simultaneously in a single well and the quantitative detection of IgM class antibody to Epstein-Barr Virus Viral Capsid Antigen (EBV-VCA). The AtheNA gives results that are a median of at least 50 discrete events, allowing for more reliable and accurate results. The test system can report results separately or simultaneously and allows for additional results to be obtained after the sample is discarded, using data stored in the system.
