M2A Antigen
Lymphatic endothelial cell marker
Vector Laboratories offers a new mouse monoclonal primary antibody: M2A Antigen. The antigen, or clone D2-40, specifically recognizes M2A Antigen, a 40kD oncofetal antigen characterized as an O-linked sialoglycoprotein that is expressed on lymphatic endothelial cells in normal and tumor tissues. It does not react with blood-vessel endothelium. The clone D2-40 is superior to conventional histological approaches in accurately visualizing lymph vessels, and it clearly demarcates cell emboli in lymphatics of tumor sections. The antibody may prove helpful in determining lymphatic invasion and lymphangiongenesis in uncharacterized tissues. Clone D2-40 has been identified as a marker for cells of mesothelial origin, including malignant mesothelioma. This antibody is suitable for use on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections and is offered in a 0.5-mL buffered solution package. Vector Laboratories (650) 697-3600; www.vectorlabs.com
