PolyScience has released a sophisticated, multifunction temperature controller. Designed for heating and cooling applications requiring precise, multilevel temperature control, the controller can be programmed with up to 10 different time and temperature profiles—each of which can have as many as 50 temperature steps and can be repeated up to 99 times. For additional versatility, the user can control programmed profiles using either temperature or time as the primary operational factor. The PolyScience programmable controller maintains temperatures from as low as -40°C to as high as 200°C with +/- 0.25°C accuracy and +/- 0.001°C stability. Fluid temperature, set point, and other important operating parameters are displayed simultaneously on a large graphics LCD. Other standard features include multilanguage menus, a continuously variable pump-speed control, remote temperature probe capability, user-settable high- and low-temperature alarms, and an integral overtemperature/low-liquid-level safety. The controller is available on PolyScience 6-, 13-, and 28-L circulators.
