Watson-Marlow Bredel has introduced its 620/520 family of peristaltic pumps, which are designed for the accurate metering, dosing, and transferring of corrosive or sensitive fluids in sanitary environments. The 620/520 pumps are ideal for filtration, fermentation, and dispensing applications; and they meet full quality testing standards, including USP class VI, ISO 10993, and USDA requirements. The 620 series introduces market-leading flow rates at pump-head speeds that do not compromise tube life. With their extended performance, 620-series pumps can deliver 50% more flow than the previous model; a single 620RE pump head is capable of 18 L/min and pressures up to 60 psi. This new series provides unrivaled performance with a control ratio of 2650:1. With no valves or seals to clog, the 620-series pumps require minimal maintenance, resulting in reduced downtime, and provide a cost-efficient alternative to other pump technologies. For ultimate processing flexibility and increased flow rates, Watson-Marlow Bredels 520-series pumps provide low shear, contamination-free pumping, and predictable pump service intervals extending validation periods. The 520s high-powered, brushless DC motor gives it controllability from 0.1 rpm to 220 rpm with speed accuracy to 0.1%. It provides precision dosing and metering, resulting in exceptional batch consistency with an 875,000:1 flow range. The new 520 pump head accepts eight different tubing materials and sizes up to 9.6 mm for flow rates ranging from 4 µL/min up to 3.5 L/min at 30 psi.
