Helicobacter pylori ELISA: GAP®-IgA

Offered as a quantitative kit with 4-point calibration curve

BIOMERICA now offers its Gastritis and Peptic Ulcer IgA (GAP®-IgA) as a quantitative kit with 4-point calibration curve. The kit is a simple and easy to use ELISA test for the detection of IgA antibodies to Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). The GAP®-IgA kit can be used both in monitoring treatment and in determining active infection. As H. pylori colonizes, it activates the host’s immune responses to produce antibodies. These circulating serum antibodies (IgG, IgM, and IgA) specific to H. pylori in patients are a good indicator of chronic and active infections. The IgA antibodies precede IgG antibodies in the case of an infection. Studies suggest that determining the levels of these antibodies may have value in monitoring treatment and determining current or ongoing infection. The GAP®-IgA ELISA test is quantitative and is fully compatible for either manual or full microplate automation. The kit requires only 1 hour and 40 minutes of testing time and has a shelf life of 1 year. The GAP(r)-IgA kit can easily be run in parallel with BIOMERICA’s GAP ®-IgG and GAP®-IgM H. pylori ELISA kits.
