Pefakit® PiCT® (prothrombinase induced clotting time) is a new universal clotting assay for the routine laboratory that includes everything required for monitoring anticoagulant activity based on direct or indirect inhibition of Factor IIa and/or Factor Xa. It gives a wide measuring range and a steep dose-response curve for UFH and LMWH, and it has a ranges from the sub- to supra-therapeutic for all types of anticoagulants. Pefakit PiCT offers WHO standardized calibrators and controls to be used as a reference for validation of the assay. Pefakit PiCT is easy to use, requiring only two pipetting steps, and can be adapted for automated coagulation analyzers.
