Pointe Scientific has introduced an improved Lp(a) assay for automated chemistry analyzers. The latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay is minimally affected by apo(a)size heterogeneity minimizing Lp(a) measurement problems. The assay has a broad dynamic range of 2.0 mg/dL to 80.0 mg/dL (4.0 nmol/L to 190.0 nmol/L) and calibration material based on WHO/IFCC.
