SEDRite III from R&D Systems is a bilevel control designed specifically for the Sedimat 15 ESR analyzer. It is formulated to provide values in the clinically normal and elevated ranges. SEDRite III is a control for the measurement of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), because the cells within the control rouleaux in the same manner as fresh whole blood cells. SEDRite III has a 195-day closed-vial stability, or 6 QC months, and a 30-day open-vial stability. It is packaged in 9.0-mL vials. A complete quality-control program, CBC-Monitor, is provided to SEDRite III users. This comprehensive program, which includes a peer-group analysis, is now available online and provides Internet access for both data submission and report retrieval.
