The CB-Protein Assay™ is an improved coomassie dye-based assay for the simple and rapid estimation of protein concentration. The user mixes the protein solution with the CB-Protein Assay and reads the optical density. A stable end point is attained within 5 minutes. This assay can be performed using as little as 1 µg protein per sample and does not require prefiltering or dilutions. Protein can be assayed in both a test tube or a microtiter plate format. The CB-Protein Assay is suitable for both high or low concentrations of protein. The CB-Protein Assay will analyze 500 test-tube assays or 2,500 microtiter-plate assays. The test is also compatible with reducing agents.
