Mini Hype-Wipe bleach towelettes from Current Technologies Inc, Crawfordsville, Ind, have been approved for new kill claims including a 1-minute kill time for tuberculosis, streptococcus, salmonella, and pseudomonas. They have a 2-minute kill time for MRSA, VRE, and staphylococcus. The towelettes enable quick disinfection of equipment such as glucometers and urinalysis and blood chemistry devices. The 3-inch square towel is packaged in a foil-lined pouch printed with the 1-year expiration date. The strength of the bleach is a 1:10 dilution (.525% or 5250 ppm) and meets NCCLS, OSHA, and CDC recommendations for disinfecting equipment and hard surfaces.
