Fletcher-Flora Health Care Systems Inc, Anaheim, Calif, has released FFlex eLink™, clinical instrument connectivity software for small physician’s office labs. The software is designed to provide connectivity directly between a lab’s clinical instruments and an electronic medical records, practice management, electronic health records, or other host system. It helps streamline integration of one or more instruments to a host, which reduces the need for manual transcription of results and can help increase lab efficiency, improve accuracy in the patient’s electronic record, and reduce liability associated with transcription errors. The software accepts and transmits data, and provides a user interface that allows customers to define tests and reference ranges, approve or reject results, and monitor real-time instrument logs. If offline results from manual tests need to be entered, it provides an intuitive way to manually enter results.
