Neoterics BloodTrack System Selected by University of New Mexico

April 30, 2007

The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNM) and TriCore Reference Laboratories have selected the BloodTrack system from Neoteric Technology Ltd to provide tracking, control, and allocation of their blood inventory at seven remote refrigerator locations.

UNM is home to a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Research and Treatment Center as well as UNM Children’s Hospital. TriCore provides blood banking and other lab services to the school’s hospital

Neoteric’s BloodTrack system includes Courier, a kiosk that secures and tracks blood in and out of refrigerators; HemoNine, a computer controlled nine-drawer locking refrigerator; and HemoSafe, a sophisticated blood dispensing refrigerator that automatically allocates blood on demand and then dispenses the right blood for the right patient.
